Contest and Topic Information

Every four years, President-Elects address the American people of his or her vision and set forth the goals of the nation. In this contest, each contestant must compose an inaugural address that is to be delivered on January 20, 2021.

You will go back in time after you were elected President on November 3, 2020. You will need to make an inaugural address that tackles the events of the recent year (Black Lives Matter Protests and Riots, Tensions between Democrats and Republicans, Coronavirus Pandemic, January 6th Insurrection, etc.). These events have separated American from American. Contestants should draft an inaugural address that aims to unite all Americans.

The Inaugural Address Contest challenges students to know the state of affairs of the United States up until January 2021 and deliver an inspiring address that sets the nation forward.

The address should have word limit of 1500 words for an inaugural address. Citations, bibliographies, and footnotes will not be necessary.

All inaugural addresses must adhere to the contest requirements.

The contest deadline will be November 3, 2021, and all addresses will be sent to thejudiciousjournal@gmail.com.
